Antiques are worth a record $1,732,000 for a Chinese cabinet.
The collection includes a Chinese-made table with a carved brass plaque and a large marble floor.
In China, Chinese authorities are looking to boost tourism, according to the BBC.
Tourism Minister Song Jiguang told the Global Times newspaper that the cabinet is a good example of what Chinese officials hope to achieve.
“The cabinet is one of the first Chinese cabinets to be presented to the world and this cabinet is proof that the Chinese government is seriously working to build a new Chinese world,” Song said.
Chinese officials have previously said that China hopes to build an Asian world by 2050.
It was also announced that the collection will be auctioned off.
